Ryu Custom Gaming PC in Corsair Air 240 White

This build came together really well – Corsair’s white Carbide Air 240 case with MSI’s Mortar Arctic motherboard which is also white, teamed with Asus’ GTX 1070 Dual, white again, and ID Cooling’s liquid cooling unit which has a very subtle white LED logo. All that with the red accents from the RAM and sleeved power supply cables really comes out looking great.

This particular build is on it’s way to it’s new owner Sydney right now and we hope they love it as much as we do.

The Carbide Air 240 from Corsair can be vertically mounted as shown in the photos or rotated 90 degrees horizontally with the square Corsair logo at the front also rotatable to match (hence the green tape holding it in place for shipping).

Sydney Intel Extreme Masters Wrap Up 2017

Hosted at the Qudos Bank Arena, the Intel Extreme Masters took place this weekend in Sydney with a $200,000 prize pool that saw 8 international teams battle it out over 19 rounds in Counter Strike : Global Offensive (CS:GO).

Not only was it the first e-sports stadium event in Sydney, but the first to take place in Australia and with a stellar turn out, the first of many.

  • North (Denmark)
  • SK Gaming (Brazil)
  • Astralis (Denmark)
  • Renegades (Australia)
  • Cheifs (Australia)
  • Vici Gaming (China)
  • OpTic Gaming (Canada)
  • FaZe Clan (EU)

With the grand final taking place on Sunday, SK Gaming faced off against Faze Clan with the first to 3 taking home the trophy.

In the end, Faze managed to take one of the four rounds with a narrow victory in Inferno but the SK Gaming was simply too good, taking the other three rounds convincingly to walk away as the Sydney EIM 2017 champions.

SK Gaming vs. FaZe Clan 3-1

  • 16 – 12 on train
  • 16 – 7 on cache
  • 13 – 16 on inferno
  • 16 – 11 on overpass

Next up, Shanghai in July and this time it will be Star Craft 2 in a four day tournament. Unfortunately none of the 16 qualifying teams are from down under but China, Taiwan, Korea, USA, The Netherlands, Germany, Poland, Canada, Denmark, the Philippines and Italy all represented.

We’re not yet sure when the IEM or any other international esports league will be returning to Sydney or anywhere else in Australia for that matter but we have a feeling it’s right around the corner, and when it does Evatech will be there, will you?
